Testimonials

Joanne is a heroine to me. She is the owner of a ranch that I go to all the time. Her hair is the color of redwood and she has brown loving eyes. She helps me live up to my dream. My dream is to be a rancher when I get older, She's teaching me all about horses. She's there when I need her. She's always ready when I need to talk. Every time I go out to the ranch she helps me take off another link to the chain that locks the door of my dreams. She's like a second mother to me. She can always tell if there's something wrong. Joanne Allen is like an angel that has been sent to earth from heaven.

Joanne and Phyllis
To teach is to touch a life forever!

Dear Joanne,
Loving a child doesn't mean giving in to all his whims; to love him is to bring out the best in him, to teach him to love what is difficult. As one of your flock, I just want to tell you how much you mean to me. You're very special!
Mariel

Dear Joanne,
I want to thank you, for being the best instructor I have ever had. Riding at your stables is the most wonderful thing I have done. You give me the chance to try new things, you put your trust in me. Each and every week, I look forward to the one day a week I can go riding with you. I can't possibly thank you enough.

What Horseback Riding Means To Me!
Horseback riding has taught me so many things. My attention span is longer. I am more fun to be around. My attitude is more positive. I learned to trust my instructors. I listen better. I think I even ride better too! When I first started riding, I Would walk in the arena say "Hi" get on my horse and have my lesson then go home. Now I get there I say "Hey" I give Joanne a hug. Then I brush my horse. Next I tack up my horse. Finally I bring my horse down either tie him up or get on him. Then I stay and help for a while, ride, have my lesson and bring my horse up and brush him and untack him and put the tack away. Then go back down and help. Sometimes I walk up and down that hill 10 times, but it doesn't matter to me! I have also learned to use my body in different ways, instead of just using my body to dance or play sports! Now I don't just yank on the horses mouth to turn him. I turn my hips, my seat, my shoulders, and my head. I use my legs and hands too! Now Joanne and Phyllis are like my second and third mom's! I can talk to them about anything! They also tell me what I am doing wrong and tell me how I can fix it. Thanks Phyllis and Joanne I love you guys like family! I would walk up and down that hill 100 time for you guys! Thanks so much!
Caitlin

My Best Friend

My best friend has four legs
and a coat of shiny gray.
She stands is a pasture
and eats a lot of hay.
When I ride her
I really have fun.
Her favorite thing to do
Is to run, and run, and run!
I can ride her in a parade
or in a horse show.
There really isn't any place
she doesn't like to go.
She is 14 years old,
A little older than me.
She's the best friend
there could ever be,
Because my horse Dustie
truly loves ME!
